We headed to the park just before 9:00 Saturday morning, hoping to beat the crowds. There were quite a lot of people around, but things were just getting going. This first posting will be what we saw inside the park -- there were also many booths outside along the street, and later the parade. Many of these are self-explanatory, but I'll add captions if there is something unusual. There were many places set up for photo opportunities; you'll see even more tomorrow when we go outside the park gate.
