As I mentioned in the last post, the lunch at Fattoria la Tagliata was fabulous. When we arrived there were four bottles on the table -- still and sparkling mineral water and red and white table wines. There were also some delicious-looking rolls, but none of us were able to eat any with all the other food they gave us.
We had six or seven appetizers, smallish plates that were passed so each person could have a bit. Then four pastas and finally, dessert.
Here are the pictures with captions, as far as I can tell what everything was. It certainly was an incredible meal.

Artichokes, fresh fig, bruschetta |
Fresh spinach, lightly sautéed |
Fresh mozzarella with pancetta |
Four pastas -- manicotti w/ ricotta and mozzarella, pumpkin ravioli, gnochhi in tomato sauce, one I don't know (straight thick pasta with unnamable sauce) |
Desserts -- not sure exactly what, but very delicious! |
We came around this mountain, but not through the hole! |

View down to the sea from the restaurant |
We are now in our hotel in Rome, where we will be until Tuesday. Tomorrow we go to the Vatican to see the Sistine Chapel. I will get more photos of Pompei up soon.
