This morning we left Rotorua for Opotiki to visit our friend Sally Kibblewhite. The home she and David established here is beautiful. They have about 10 acres of land at the end of the road, with a view of the ocean. David was quite the gardener. They planted trees where there was brush. They put in more than two dozen olive trees. There are also figs, pear, apple, avocado and lemon. She now has a small vegetable garden as well.
The internet here is pretty slow and I'm having trouble linking pictures. So there may not be much here until we arrive in Auckland again on Thursday afternoon/evening.
