Last weekend was the annual flower festival. I wasn't in town for the parade on Saturday. The parade is always disappointing, because by the time it gets in our neighborhood, it is very strung out and there is much waiting around for the next float or marching group. I was very tired after a long day on Saturday, but I was determined to go to the park and see the floats and other displays on Sunday morning. Fortunately, it was fairly cool and there were plenty of benches along the way to rest. The distance to Nong Buak Haad Park was just under a mile each way.
The floats are highly decorated, almost completely covered with flowers. They were parked along the street so it was easy to see them up close.
Inside the park there were many, many flower displays. People were taking selfies everywhere.
Outside the park on the street were many vendors selling flowers and plants.
